Moms Demand Action at January DWCC Meeting

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense spokesperson Molly Bursey was the speaker at the Democratic Women of Comal County's January meeting. She let us know that her group will be in Austin this month to lobby against two House Bills that would allow easier gun purchases in Texas as well as allow guns to be carried in more places.

House Bill 375 also called "Constitutional Carry" will eliminate the need for a license, background check and training before purchasing a gun. House Bill 560 will allow guns to be brought into all school, bars, sports arenas, hospitals, courtrooms and other sensitive areas.

Molly and her group are asking legislators to vote against both of these bills. DWCC members will be writing letters to our representatives to do the same.
