August 11th Meeting

Bob Rogers- Comal County Chair had a lot to say about how proud he was with the activities Democrats in Comal County have been. He wants us to use the Headquater office more.

Nora Stansill- Our guest of honor at the DWCC monthly meeting was Nora Stansill. Nora was a county chair person in Tom Green County in San Angelo, TX She moved to New Braunfels two years ago. She was happy to see that the Democratic Women of Comal County were active.

Maria Saenz-Rodrigues- Maria is on the Democratic State Executive Committee. She shared good information about legislation and the special sessions. She asked members to brainstorm ideas about a motto and slogan for the Democratic Party.

Members in Action:

Marty Jonas- Informed us about Block Walking. Democrats of Comal County need more volunteers to take part in block walking. They meet at the Comal County Democratic Party Headquarters every Saturday at 10:00 AM.

Cathy Nathan- Told us about Volunteer Deputy Registrar Training. If you are interested in becoming a Deputy Voter Registrar, you must attend training classes.

Joyce Doyle- Is in Charge of Bylaws. She has a final copy for members to review for next years DWCC annual meeting.

Ann Mullen- Ann has produced new membership folders. Also she encourages members to "Bring A Friend" when we hold mixers or any other DWCC events.

Jessica Stansell- Updated DWCC members about the means of communications members can adhere to. She reported that the Democratic Women of Comal County was featured in the Herald Zeitung, New Braunfels local newspaper virtually marching with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America as they participated in a two day demonstration marching from National Rifle Association to the Department of Justice. Jessica also updated on the DWCC website progression and changes.
